A beginner's guide to the Dragon Ball Legends ability. Each character has three abilities: a main ability, a Z ability, and a unique ability. You can also check the abilities of all characters on the following pages.
Main ability
Ability that is activated by tapping the character icon during the battle. Each has a count until it can be used, and when it is blinking, it is in a usable state.
The effects of main abilities vary
Main abilities have various effects depending on the character.
- Draw Special or Ultimate Arts
- Transform into a Super Saiyan
- Increase CRITICAL and damage
- Recover yourself and all allies
- Restores energy and speeds up recovery
- Recovery of burnishing gauge and speed of recovery
Use once in one battle
Basically, you can only use the main ability once per battle. As an exception, if you transform into a Super Saiyan, you can often use the main ability again after transformation. In this case, once each will be twice.
Z-ability
All 6 Z abilities will affect 6 spawning members in a 3 person party formation. It is also a feature that the effect rises at 3, 5, 7 (convex). The target status and tags may increase when strengthening. Always effective during battle.

Unique ability
Each character has one or two abilities that do not need to be activated like the main abilities and often have an effect at all times. However, some unique abilities are a little complicated because they may not be activated unless the activation conditions are met, and the number of effects counted is fixed.
SP | Perfect cell | Seems to be surprised...: Reduces your shooting arts cost by 5 (cannot be erased) When it comes into play, activate the following effects.-Randomly seal one enemy hand. Sealed hand has a certain count. Cannot be used (1 counts) (10 activations)-Increases damage done by 3% (45 counts) Gradually recovers one's physical strength (15 counts)
Cover: Rescue: Only change at the first cover change without taking damage from your opponent. After the effect is activated, your own standby count is extended by 5 counts. |

Evil Intimidation: When on the battlefield, activate the following effects.-Effect the enemy with a "damaged 20% increase" ability lowering effect (20 counts). Ability reduction effect is given (1 counts)

Intimidation: Fire Damage Damage Up: When on the battlefield, give enemy a 20% Fire Damage Damage Up effect (15 counts)
Cover: Discard hand: At the time of cover change, randomly discard 2 enemies' hands. After the effect is activated, your damage is increased by 30% (15 counts) and the standby count is extended by 2 counts. |
